    Philadelphia was the center of American printing and publishing from the 1700s through the 1900s. Paper and printmaking were revolutionized here, early writers drafted our most important historic documents, and publishers created the largest and most popular daily newspapers and weekly magazines of their time. On this tour, we will meet publishers of some of these materials like the Saturday Evening Post and Godey’s Lady’s Book, and others who influenced the printed press!
