Join us along the river at Lardner's Point Park! Volunteers needed to help with tree care, landscaping, litter and beautification!Volunteers Needed! Join us for a morning along the river at Lardner's Point Park! We'll be cleaning up the park, removing litter and debris, completing some invasive removal and other general landscaping tasks! Meet at the entrance plaza before the fishing pier! There will be a table and signs pointing you in the right direction!Gloves and tools are provided. Close-toed shoes are required. Bring a refillable water bottle if possible. Light snacks and water provided.Minors need a parent's signature to partipcate.

Celebrate the opening of the K&T2 Trail with us!Join Riverfront North Partnership and the City of Philadelphia in a celebration of the new K&T2 Trail extension. The trail will now connect three riverfront parks on the Delaware River in Philadelphia - the Frankford Boat Launch, Lardner's Point Park, and the Tacony Boat Launch!The event will start at Lardner's Point Park, located at the base of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, and the ceremony will take place on the trail at Magee Avenue, which is about .25 miles north of the park. Art and Nature walk at Lardner's Point Park with a microphotography session.Seeing is Believing: Viewing and Sculpting River Microbes utilizes real-time freshwater samples from the Delaware River to observe, record, and photograph microscopic life. Participants will collect a water sample, view microorganisms through a microscope, and create a wire sculpture based on what they see. Art and Nature walk focusing on birdsBirds and collageThis art and nature walk will focus on birds in Lardner’s Point Park. We will learn about their characteristics, migration patterns, and role in supporting a healthy ecosystem. Participants will then be invited to make a paper collage capturing the color, pattern, and movement of local birds. We will meet at the entrance to the park off Levick Street. There is limited parking on-site and along the surrounding roads so please share a ride if you can. Please dress according to the expected weather. Art and Nature walk at Lardner's Point Park with a plant walk followed by a watercolor activity.This art and nature walk will focus on the diverse native plants in Lardner’s Point Park. We will learn about several key plants and their role in supporting a healthy ecosystem, as well as noting their visual elements (form, pattern, line). We will conclude the workshop by making brush paintings of plants using natural inks and watercolors. We will meet at the entrance to the park off Levick Street.
