We will explore some of the mysticism, mythology, religion, legends, history, art, music, and architecture found within the Wissahickon. We will have ample time to examine these from the three different perspectives of history, theology, and psychology. Along the way, we will visit Lover’s Leap, the Henry Avenue Bridge, the Hermitage, and Kelpius’ Cave. Meeting at Historic Rittenhouse Town Lincoln Drive is the only main road that runs right next to the creek within Wissahickon Valley Park, and one that few have had the opportunity to walk on.  This Saturday, we’re partnering with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to close Lincoln Drive from Johnson Street to Ridge Avenue for a large-scale clean-up along this heavily traveled (and often heavily littered) road.
