Meeting at the Hartwell Lane Trailhead Wissahickon Valley Park is much more than a place to recreate. It’s also habitat to hundreds of species of wildlife, and it provides a green buffer between impervious surfaces and the Wissahickon Creek, which is an important source of drinking water for residents in Northwest Philadelphia. On this day, we will be partnering with Springside Chestnut Hill Academy to close an eroding section of trail by planting native trees and shrubs! This event is open to the general public.
