  • Rain Barrel Workshop at Glenside Free Library

Glenside Free Library 215 S Keswick Ave, Glenside, PA, United States

Join us for this FREE workshop on rain barrels, and find out what you can do to better manage stormwater at home! Rain barrels store rain to be released in drier weather, helping our creeks by decreasing the impact of pollution and reducing demand on our stormwater system. Barrels also save you money because you’ll use less tap water. Use stored water for gardens and lawns, or to wash your patio furniture and cars. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Learn more about rain barrels at this workshop, including installation tips. Please register here. Questions? Contact Ryan at ryan@ttfwatershed.org or 215-744-1853.

  • BioBlitz in Glenside

Glenside Free Library 215 S Keswick Ave, Glenside, PA, United States

Join us as Ryan from TTF walks us through how we can use the iNaturalist app to learn more about the wildlife all around us. Participate in a watershedwide effort to document wildlife. Bring your smart device as there will be a guided nature exploration where you can practice using the app. After a quick orientation at the library, we’ll head to Renninger Park to utilize our new knowledge. Ryan from TTF will have nets, microscopes, and more for us to explore the creek! Please register here.
