We’ll be hiking on part of the Cresheim Trail, starting from Germantown Avenue. We’ll visit the ruins of the barn of Buttercup Cottage and see where Lake Surprise once was. And we’ll take note of what some of our favorite and least favorite plants look like in the summer. These trails are narrower than most in the Wissahickon, so long pants are recommended. And be prepared to walk over some rocks on

Meeting at Cresheim Trail Would you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join long-time steward of the Wissahickon David Bower and his dedicated corps of Crew Leaders and Trail Ambassadors on a variety of stewardship projects! No experience is needed. We provide gloves, tools and instruction – you just need to show up! Volunteer service Days are excellent, easy ways to help us take care of Wissahickon Valley Park. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and bring a water bottle with you. Detailed information and the specific meeting location will
