BACKGROUND The next phase of the Master Plan for FDR, Park, with the support of Fairmont Park Conservancy, calls for the demolition and removal of 441 trees – 64 of them heritage trees. Their demolition will pave the way for nine synthetic turf fields, 14 courts, and 170 parking spaces. The Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania has co-signed a letter to the Mayor to ask for a pause in the plan. Join us for a community potluck picnic!Meet us at the picnic tables behind the FDR Community Clubhouse. You may want to bring outdoor chairs or a blanket for additional seating. We will provide plates, bowls, and plasticware but please consider bringing your own plastic dishes to use for sustainability!IF YOU ARE BRINGING A DISH to share please make a list of all the ingredients used, to be displayed on the table. We will provide index cards if you need them. If your dish contains wild mushrooms that you foraged, please make sure that you had them identified by other mycologists,
