Saturday, December 14, 2024 10:00 AM 12:00 PM 3401 Reservoir DrivePhiladelphia Join Bria from Audubon Mid-Atlantic and Stacey from Fairmount Water Works for our monthly freshwater mussel measuring event! Sign up to measure mussels, water chemistry of the reservoir, and connect with other water conservation enthusiasts. This community science data will be used to help guide our mussel propagation program: growing freshwater mussels and placing them within the Delaware River watershed for filtration and cleaner water for all. Registration is required in advance, please fill out the form below to sign up. This program is also designed for adult volunteers. Children age

Honoring Our Past: Lenni Lenape Origins in Our Urban Watershed

Our River Days Program aims to honor and recognize the Lenni Lenape as the original shepherds of this region and provide community members with an opportunity to explore our watershed through games, hands on activities, and walking tours. We’ll host the Aqua Marooned Game, lead a water quality testing activity, and wrap up the day with a Lenni Lenape land acknowledgement and interactive presentation. No registration required.
