Rain Barrel Workshop at Elkins Park Free Library

Elkins Park Free Library 563 Church Rd, Elkins Park, PA, United States

Join us for this FREE workshop on rain barrels, and find out what you can do to better manage stormwater at home! Rain barrels store rain to be released in drier weather, helping our creeks by decreasing the impact of pollution and reducing demand on our stormwater system. Barrels also save you money because you’ll use less tap water. Use stored water for gardens and lawns, or to wash your patio furniture and cars. Learn more about rain barrels at this workshop, including installation tips. Please register here. Questions? Contact Ryan at ryan@ttfwatershed.org or 215-744-1853.

Learn how to document wildlife observations across the TTF Watershed. Please register here.

Seed Starting Workshop

Elkins Park Free Library 563 Church Rd, Elkins Park, PA, United States

We are partnering with Penn State Extension Master Gardeners and Elkins Park Library to offer a free workshop on native plants and seed starting during the winter. Learn about growing native perennials in this easy way to start seeds. The native seeds are started outside in containers so they are protected from wildlife and benefit from the cold temperatures of winter. This indoor workshop will include all supplies and instruction by a Montgomery County Master Gardener. You will also take home containers with seeds! Space is limited, so please register here.
