  • Spotlight Tour: Lafayette Visits Germantown

    Learn about Lafayette's visit to Germantown 200 years ago this month as we retrace some of his steps. The tour will take approximately an hour and a half and cover 1.5 miles. There will be times to stop and sit during the walk. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink if needed. This tour will begin at Cliveden (6401 Germantown Avenue) and end at Wyck (6026 Germantown Avenue) so please plan accordingly. In the case of inclement weather, this tour will be rescheduled.     New Jersey based historical musicians, The Ministers of Apollo, will play 19th-century music in Cliveden's Parlor on Saturday, May 31st, 12pm to 4pm. Tour the first floor of the house and hear a song or two during your visit. The program is free. Music in the Parlor is generously supported by The Haley Foundation.
