Bonnie MacAllister is a third year Resident Artist at Cherry Street Pier. Her studio practice involves interactive collaborative workshops demonstrating her studio practice of embroidery, felting, natural dyeing, and recycled textiles. Her embroidery has been exhibited at the New York Public Library, McLean Project for the Arts, the New School / Parsons, the State Museum of Pennsylvania. the Woodmere Museum, Yellowstone Art Museum, Trenton City Museum, and Sandy Spring Museum. Bonnie MacAllister has exhibited her embroideries at Yellowstone Art Museum, the New York Public Library , the New School for Social Research, the Trenton City Museum, and the State Museum of Pennsylvania. Her work incorporates recycled textiles and farm sourced fibers. In her residency at Cherry Street Pier, Bonnie offers community education in fiber arts using locally sourced and recycled materials. Her favorite thing is to create new embroiders by teaching accessible methods for all ages and abilities.
