    Artessa Alliance is excited to announce its 3rd Biennial Exhibition, “THE PEACE OF WILD THINGS”, at the renowned Cheltenham Center for the Arts, September 15 - October 10, 2025. An Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, 6-8pm. Inspired by Wendell Berry’s poem of the same name, “The Peace of Wild Things” explores the intersection of nature, tranquility, and the human spirit. The exhibition showcases a diverse and vibrant collection of works by members of Artessa Alliance, a collaborative of Philadelphia women artists.     Creative Conversations (CC) is a program bringing emerging and established artists together to engage in conversation in a welcoming and relaxed environment. CC is an opportunity to meet with artists who work in various mediums and talk about the joys, struggles, inspirations, and technical issues artists deal with throughout their creative journey. Participants have the opportunity to share their work and receive sensitive and useful feedback from the visiting artist.   • Mapping our Watershed: Capturing Water

    A hands-on workshop making art inspired by water! We’ll make photo collages and prints using the Japanese marbling technique of suminagashi. Water is essential to life on Earth; it is also captivating and constantly changing. In this workshop, we will use two different techniques to create visual representations of water: photographic collage and Suminagashi, the Japanese technique of making images with ink and water. Artworks created during the workshop will be incorporated into Mapping Our Watershed, a mixed-media piece by local artist Rebecca Schultz inspired by the watershed in Cheltenham Township.
