Exhibition Opening – “Philadelphia, The Revolutionary City”

Join us to get the first look at the APS Museum's latest exhibition — Philadelphia, The Revolutionary City. This exhibition investigates the lived experiences of Philadelphians during the extraordinary period leading up to, during, and after the Revolutionary War. It showcases historic documents, maps, prints, correspondence, and artifacts relating to the city's diverse inhabitants, presenting dynamic and complex narratives involving the people who lived amidst turmoil and change at the epicenter of American independence. Enjoy light refreshments and explore the exhibition. The Education and Curatorial staff will be available throughout the evening to answer any questions and share special perspectives

Community After-hours Tour at Sketching Splendor Exhibit

Southwest neighbors are invited to a community after-hours tour of Sketching Splendor at the American Philosophical Society. Light refreshments will be served. Sketching Splendor: American Natural History, 1750-1850 explores how William Bartram, Titian Ramsay Peale, and John James Audubon made sense of nature’s complexities through their writings, drawings, and watercolors.
