Bog Plant Workshop

Learn all about fascinating bog plants and how to care for them. Participants will get to take home three plants of their own! Did you know that there are only certain species of plant that will survive in wetlands and bogs....and some of them are carniverous!! Come learn about these fantastic plants and their care, and take home some new bog-plant friends. Taught by Penn State Master Watershed Steward John Bernick, this workshop will be held outdoors at Pavillion 3 at Wayne Grube Park as part of the Bertsch Hokendauqua Catasauqua Watershed Association's Community Day. Learn about Native American peoples at Jasper Park and the history of uses along local waterways at Rising River Brewing.This retrospective Tap Talk will begin at Jasper Park where Neil Moser and John Fegely from the Upper Milford Historical Society will introduce us to a history of the Lenape people who inhabited this area for ten of thousands of years prior to the arrival of Europeans.
