Goat Walk and Watershed Talk with Philly Goat Project

The Philly Goats are partnering with Let's Go Outdoors to bring you a free guided Goat Walk and Watershed Talk on Saturday, March 11th from 1-3pm (meet at the goat barn at 1pm sharp). This is a 2 hour interactive outdoor program where participants can learn all about water! Where does water come from? Where does it go? What is a watershed? Why is this important? How does a goat drink? Dress for the outdoors. Rain date is March 12 at 1pm.

Free Event: Black Girls with Green Thumbs Grow Your Own Garden!

Grow Your Own veggies and plants Demonstration and Goat stroll (no land, no problem, grow things in pots and windowboxes!) Black Girls With Green Thumbs will lead tours of Awbury, pointing out plants with purpose with the Goats! In addition there will be lessons on planting and growing your own foods, with or without a backyard, plus learn how to use the foods you are planting.  There's plenty to learn at this FREE can't miss event! Please join us at the farm for a Nature Walk with Grief Coach Naila Francis from This Hallowed Wilderness to discuss navigating the various ways we hold grief and loss in our lives. PGP's Neighborhood Family Garden is a place for everyone from the surrounding neighborhood to come learn to grow, harvest, and cook their own produce as well as participate in shared wellness activities. About the event Are you a neighborhood community member looking to learn to grow or to connect to a group of healthy neighbors to enjoy wellness outdoors together? Participation is free however a minimum of 6 hours of help is required before taking home your part of the harvest.
