    Join us at our annual celebration, which will focus on our nature-themed programs. There will be open boating on the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River, so come explore the water on one of Glen Foerd’s kayaks, canoes, or rowboats. *Boating will take place from 12- 3:30 due to tidal changes. On land, you can enjoy educational activities about bees and arts and crafts using upcycled and natural materials with Kids Art Shop, or play around in our Lily P.A.D.S. playground while enjoying some hands-on activities.     Join us in celebrating the shortest day of the year. We will be supplying hot drinks, light refreshments, and, of course, a bonfire by the river! If you’ve ever wondered how other cultures celebrate the solstice, take a guided walk with naturalist Mike Weilbacher.   • Birdwatch Kayak Tour

    Join us for a guided kayak tour focused on the birds of the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River. We will be joined by Bria, Senior Coordinator of Audubon Mid-Atlantic at the Discovery Center, who will teach us about the birds we encounter out on the water. Bria will also cover the use of digital tools to identify what we see and hear, so you will leave with a better handle on how to identify birds out in the wild!
