Join us for an outdoor scavenger hunt-type activity that the whole family can enjoy!Come enjoy a morning of letterboxing, an intriguing “treasure hunt” style outdoor activity! Each family will receive a passbook, stamp and a series of water-based clues to find caches hidden both inside and outside at Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center! Find all the caches, fill up your passport book with stamps and come see all the hidden treasures Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center has to offer! Get the 'behind the scenes' scoop on Philadelphia's water supply system, past and present.Join us for a guided interpretation of the 1815 engineering marvel that is the Fairmount Water Works, a National Historic Landmark. Find answers to questions on how the Water Department over centuries has provided water to the people of Philadelphia. We will explore what has been, and continues to be, a major tourist attraction exciting visitors such as Lafayette, Mark Twain and Charles Dickens.
