Celebration! of Benjamin Franklin, Founder

This event was established to bring attention to Franklin’s ideas and accomplishments and highlight his relevance in the modern world.Join us at the American Philosophical Society on January 20, 2023 for the 2023 Ben Franklin Celebration, "The Future of Oceans," honoring Sylvia Earle.At 10 a.m., the morning will kick off with an introduction by Charlotte Hudson, Director of the Lenfest Ocean Program, Pew Charitable Trusts. Helen Rozwadowski, professor of History and founder of the Maritime Studies program at the University of Connecticut and Irina Marinov, Associate Professor of Earth and Environmental Science, Long Term Guest Investigator, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
