Mapping Our Watershed Community Celebration

Mapping Our Watershed, a participatory art and community science project taking place in Cheltenham Township will culminate with a free community celebration and pop-up art exhibition, held on Thursday, August 24 from 5:30-7:30pm at High School Park, located at Montgomery Ave & High School Road in Elkins Park, PA. Mapping Our Watershed is led by Elkins Park-based artist and educator Rebecca Schultz. The project aims to increase residents’ connection to and understanding the complex and interconnected ecology of the TTF Watershed. Creek Care Day – Second Saturday

Help preserve the beauty of Tacony Creek Park! Join us for Creek Care Day on the second Saturday of the month to help clean up the park. Location: Whitaker Avenue & Loudon Street near the Tacony Creek Park Gateway, Philadelphia 19120 All tools and materials will be provided, including work gloves (though you’re welcome to bring your own). Please note, restrooms are not available at this location, and volunteers should bring plenty of water for themselves. Please register here.  We follow Philadelphia guidelines & will provide masks. Join us as Ryan from TTF walks us through how we can use the iNaturalist app to learn more about the wildlife all around us. Participate in a watershedwide effort to document wildlife. Bring your smart device as there will be a guided nature exploration where you can practice using the app. After a quick orientation at the library, we’ll head to Renninger Park to utilize our new knowledge.
