The winter solstice signals the cycle of nature and life. The days will fill with more sunlight and crisper weather. We will be hosting our annual Winter Solstice Hike and this year we welcome a special guest to take us on this journey. We’ll go through the woods for a hike to take in the beauty and wonder of this time of year. Keep your eyes peeled as registration for this opens soon!

Bethesda Project, a local non-profit dedicated to providing emergency shelter, housing, and supportive services for individuals experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia, is hosting its 27th Annual Party & Auction on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the iconic Reading Terminal Market from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. The Party & Auction is the organization’s major fundraising event, raising money and awareness for the life-changing programs and services they provide for thousands of Philadelphians experiencing homelessness. The event features iconic food from Reading Terminal Market vendors, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. All proceeds allow Bethesda Project to continue their work and achieve their mission

Celebrate the longest day of the year and the kickoff to summer! Did you know that on summer solstice the sun makes its longest journey across the sky making it the longest day of the year? This day has been celebrated by many cultures throughout history and marks the beginning of summer! Join us on Riverbend’s preserve for summer fun! We’ll have a wine garden for the adults, activities for the kids, fresh Philly pretzels, delicious water ice, a blazing bonfire with s’mores, and live music!
