People of the Park Ribbon Cutting

We are so excited to invite the Tacony Creek Park community to join us for the People of the Park Ribbon Cutting. We will host the first ceremony at the southernmost sign, along the Tacony Creek Park trail right below the gateway at East Tabor Road and East Olney Avenue. The speaking program and ribbon cutting will run from 2pm to 2:30pm. The first sign honors Maria Vazquez; we will walk to each of the 3 other signs to cut ribbons with the featured people (Thomas & Savannah McHale, Dr. Rhoda Moise, and Seri Chao). Join Sierra Club Philly for a morning of nature and fun at Tacony Creek Park! All families will be given a scavenger hunt, to find different things and creatures in nature at the park, and will be able to visit TTF’s River Alive Trail! Light snacks will be provided. This is a bilingual event and will be available in both English and Spanish. In the event of rain, this outing will be postponed to the following day, Sunday August 27th.
