Vernon Park Rain Garden Cleanup & Maintenance

Join us to care for our very first rain garden at Germantown’s beautiful and historic Vernon Park. We’ll weed and pick up litter in the rain garden with our partner, Friends of Vernon Park. We work with FOVP to maintain this garden of native plants, which cleans and slows down runoff pollution before it enters our stormwater system, creeks, and rivers. This site is part of the Philadelphia Water Department Soak It Up program. All tools and supplies will be provided, including work gloves (though you’re welcome to bring your own). Please note, restrooms are not available. No plastic water

Help preserve the beauty of Tacony Creek Park! Join us for Creek Care Day on the second Saturday of the month to help clean up the park. Location: Whitaker Avenue & Loudon Street near the Tacony Creek Park Gateway, Philadelphia 19120 All tools and materials will be provided, including work gloves (though you’re welcome to bring your own).
