Join Laura Bethmann, artist and author of Hand Printing From Nature, to learn about and create detailed, life-size prints of fresh garden plants in this hands-on workshop. Practiced by luminaries such as Leonardo da Vinci and Ben Franklin, we will explore the intriguing ancient art and science of nature printing using fresh botanicals. The nature-printing technique is a simple, direct-printing process that stirs our kinship with the earth and charges our creative energies. Laura will discuss some of the fascinating history of this practice and demonstrate basic techniques. No previous art experience is necessary, just bring your love of plants!

Mekonnen––cofounder/leader of the widely celebrated Debo Band—the solo project dragonchild is a culmination of decades of musical experimentation, embodied spiritual practice, and critical thinking. Growing up in Texas as a first generation Ethiopian-American, Mekonnen often heard traditional Ethiopian instruments and vocals, later seeking out master Ethiopian musicians to learn to play the traditional instruments of his heritage.
