Chestnut Hill Conservancy, the educational center and advocate organization for the appreciation and preservation of the architecture, open space, and history of Chestnut Hill and the surrounding communities, is thrilled to announce that it's much-loved Night of Lights returns to Chestnut Hill on Friday, October 6, for a nine-evening run—this year's event will spotlight Germantown Avenue between Willow Grove Avenue and Bethlehem Pike. Night of Lights will again transform Chestnut Hill's main street into a vibrant nightly streetscape exhibition of local histories and illuminated architecture, projecting archival images from the Conservancy's and other archives through eight storefront windows. Meet Philadelphia artist, Deborah Zuchman at @bennascafe (at the corner of *th & Wharton Sts.) Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2-4pm. Deborah was an Art Demonstration Teacher and taught in the Philadelphia Public Schools for thirty-five years. She also worked as a Project Manager for the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program for several years. Zuchman paints en plein air and from her imagination. Dress your best and enjoy an afternoon that’s all about amphibians: stories, crafts, and an animal encounter with Riverbend’s Green Tree Frog ambassadors. Guests will enjoy light tea party fare and the event is hosted by a very special princess who loves frogs! Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their finest prince and princess attire for a family-friendly magical afternoon in Riverbend’s Barn. The gala is a caregiver and child event and all guests must have a ticket.

Join Riverbend's Educators for this fascinating annual rite of spring that happens right here at Riverbend. Learn about the lifecycle of the amphibians that live at the Preserve and see the tadpoles in action. This fun event is open to individuals and to families with children of all ages. Guests will explore the preserve and visit activity stations to learn all about frogs. Depending on the weather and other natural factors, we may see a lot of tadpoles or none at all,
