20s/30s Hike: 4.5-mile Phoenixville, PA Trek: Scenic Views and Good Times
Phoenixville is known for its fun downtown area, which includes historic architecture and a lively arts, restaurant and brewery scene. Beginning Memorial Day weekend, Phoenixville's main avenue, Bridge St, turns into a busy pedestrian walkway on Saturdays and Sundays. Our hike will begin 1.7 miles from town at the Reynolds Dog Park, which has a sizeable parking lot and clean restroom facilities. We will walk on the wide, flat, gravel towpath trail into Phoenixville. Along the way, we will pass Fitzwater Station, a popular canal-side restaurant with outdoor dining and canoe/kayak rentals.
