Pea Soup Dinner

Ärtsoppa, or Swedish yellow pea soup, is the traditional Thursday night supper in Sweden during the winter that dates back to medieval times. ASHM’s Pea Soup Dinner is served with sharp Swedish cheese, crisp bread, and Swedish pancakes and coffee for dessert. There will also be a cash bar. Gather with friends and family to enjoy time together at the Museum. Don’t miss out on this delightful meal! Pre-registration is required by January 24th. $30 for members, $35 for nonmembers.

Weathering the Winter

Saturday, February 1 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm Weathering the Winter Winters were harsh in the 18th century, but even in cold and snowy weather there was still plenty of work to do around the farm. Fires had to be built, food preserved and cooked, and animals needed tending. Visit the Farmstead on February 1st to watch our living historians demonstrate the types of farm chores a family like the Wentzes would have had to do this time of year.
