Fishtown Freeze & Winter Wonderland

Fishtown BID and Fishtown Co, the minds behind Fishtown FestivAle, are excited to announce another year of our new frosty event, the Fishtown Freeze & Winter Wonderland! Now entering its fourth year, the event is a day-and-night-long family-friendly festival that brings dozens of custom-designed ice sculptures and an ice bonfire, carved by Ice Sculpture Philly, Santa, and more holiday fun to the streets of Fishtown! Event highlights include interactive live ice sculpture carvings throughout the day, holiday shopping at the area’s independent boutiques, fun stuff for kids, and food and drink specials. Now + Then Marketplace is back around Thunderbird Salvage & The Fishtown Flatiron for a MEGA MARKET w/ Philly's longest running flea market, Phila Flea Markets. One of the largest markets of the year, the MEGA market surrounds 3 whole city blocks along Frankford Ave, Trenton Ave, & York Street and hosts over 200 local vendors. Vendors range from antique dealers and local artists to local drinks from Two Robbers and macaroons from 1984 Cakes As always the market is free to attend, dog, and kid friendly. School Age Studio: Trees, Buildings + Bodies

Available on select School District of Philadelphia (SDP) half-days, we offer a hands-on, project-based design workshop that allows students to be designers in a studio. Students will learn the design process through activities and exercises to design and build a project individually and/or as a team. Each studio introduces how we see design everywhere and projects based on one or more design disciplines. + $45 Half-Day 12:30-3:30pm (includes a snack) + $20 Extended Care 3:30-5:30pm (brings a snack) + Maximum studio size of 10 students + Instructors are design professionals of varied disciplines + All materials included + Pick-up option
