Chestnut Hill Conservancy, the educational center and advocate organization for the appreciation and preservation of the architecture, open space, and history of Chestnut Hill and the surrounding communities, is thrilled to announce that it's much-loved Night of Lights returns to Chestnut Hill on Friday, October 6, for a nine-evening run—this year's event will spotlight Germantown Avenue between Willow Grove Avenue and Bethlehem Pike. Night of Lights will again transform Chestnut Hill's main street into a vibrant nightly streetscape exhibition of local histories and illuminated architecture, projecting archival images from the Conservancy's and other archives through eight storefront windows. Embrace your inner explorer on a guided hike through rolling terrain. A variety of food and beverage selections available for purchase. Weathering the Winter

Saturday, February 10th from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm Weathering the Winter Winters were harsh in the 18th century, but even in cold and snowy weather there was still plenty of work to do around the farm. Fires had to be built, food preserved and cooked, and animals needed tending. Visit the Farmstead on February 10th to watch our living historians demonstrate the types of farm chores a family like the Wentzes would have had to do this time of year.
