Join us as we tackle one of the largest illegal dumpsites in Philadelphia!! We’re teaming up with the City of Philadelphia, Office of Clean and Green, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Philadelphia Water Department, United by Blue, and multiple agencies, to remove illegally dumped tires and clear debris from Tacony Creek Park and the surrounding streets. This cleanup is a great way to make a real impact! Volunteers comfortable lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) are especially needed to help remove tires. Prefer lighter work? No problem—there will also be opportunities to collect smaller litter with grabbers. We will meet

Be part of Love Your Park Spring! Join Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership (TTF) and Friends of Tacony Creek Park for a morning showing some love to Tacony Creek Park. Last April, we removed 5,000 tires. We’re done with that — now it’s TRASH OUT, TREES IN. Help us clear debris, clean up the park, and plant conifer trees that will grow here for years to come. Sign up to volunteer and join us. We’d love to see you there.
We are hosting our first volunteer day of the year, where we will be beautifying Tacony Creek Park’s I and Ramona Gateway. Activities include: Painting a new bench for the gateway Painting the ballards Trash cleanup Making signage for the park Revealing an announcement for I & Ramona Gateway! Join us as we provide all the tools and snacks needed to give I and Ramona new life 🍃
