Saturday, February 18, 2023, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Tookany Creek Park from the Central Avenue Parking Lot Join Judith Gratz for this monthly bird walk at Tookany Creek Park. We will walk portions of the trails along Tookany Creek in the Park, part of an official Audubon IBA (Important Bird Area). These walks are being sponsored by the Cheltenham Bird Town, and Sustainable Cheltenham, and supported by the Tookany Tacony Watershed Partnership and the Wyncote Audubon Society. On Earth Day weekend Sunday, April 23, Cheltenham EAC will host the second FREE Tookany Creek Trail Fest! There will be a trail cleanup event beforehand (9 am), bird walks, self-guided hikes, birding activities, a Trail Feasibility Study update, environmental art, free snacks and drinks, and more. Hosted by the Cheltenham Township Environmental Advisory Council with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, Wyncote Audubon Society, The Circuit Trails, Independence Youth Cycling/SoMont Cycling Youth Mountain Bike Team, Friends of Cresheim Trail, Bicycle Coalition of Philadelphia, Rebecca Shultz Projects, Friends of Curtis Arboretum, Cheltenham Township Library System, Cheltenham Chamber of Citizens, and more.

Mapping Our Watershed Community Celebration

Mapping Our Watershed, a participatory art and community science project taking place in Cheltenham Township will culminate with a free community celebration and pop-up art exhibition, held on Thursday, August 24 from 5:30-7:30pm at High School Park, located at Montgomery Ave & High School Road in Elkins Park, PA.
