    Glen Foerd mansion sits along the Delaware River in the northeastern-most corner of Philly and is one of the best places in the city to study gulls during the winter. While there is no guarantee, we are hoping to see a rare gull such as Iceland or Glaucous Gull. There should also be a good amount of waterfowl out on the river and we can discuss how to distinguish Double-crested Cormorants from the Great Cormorants that visit the area in winter. We’ll be looking for breeding activity, learning about the PA Bird Atlas, and hopefully seeing some goofy fledglings!     Tookany/Tacony – Frankford Watershed Partnership (WALKING) Time: 8:00 – 10:00 am Cost: Free Explore the critical urban green spaces of the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed (TTF), a testament to the power of community-led conservation. This walk is a great opportunity for Spanish speakers, as we will have a skilled naturalist and translator co-leading the tour. As we walk, we’ll look for a variety of species that depend on these restored waterways, from herons to kingfishers and warblers. Your participation supports the ongoing efforts of the TTF Watershed Partnership, helping to ensure these urban oases remain healthy and vibrant for both wildlife and people.
