Join STITCH AND DESTROY for their popular intro to machine sewing workshop! STITCH AND DESTROY owners, Haven and Corey, will guide you through on how to use a sewing machine. We will go over sewing machine parts, threading the machine, and how to sew basic straight and zig zag stitches. After practicing with the machine, Haven and Corey will teach you how to sew a reversable cotton tote bag. Pinning fabric and ironing will also be covered. Undeterred, the creators mounted a comeback—training media makers in Philadelphia, organizing a media coalition, and sparking a fight for media power that continues to this day. Join artist Natasha Guy for a workshop that will use collage as a way to explore historical images. 2026 marks not just the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, but also the 200th anniversary of photography.
