Wineberry Hike in South Mountain Reservation with Kirk BarrettHike 3.5 miles (or 2.5 with early exit) at a modest pace over rocky trails with a long climb from the Rahway River back to the summit. Includes a discussion of how the Rahway River contributes to drinking water supply to the towns of Orange and Rahway. As for the wineberry, it is a non-native, invasive plant that is very common in local natural areas, including the South Mountain Reservation.
