Inner Transformation Group Meeting

The purpose of the Inner Transformation group is to provide us real-world benefits of becoming more emotionally resilient during tough times.  This work also helps us to make decisions in the absence of substantial data or authority to guide us.  We cannot expect the government, corporations, society, or religion to always be there when we need them.  Aligning with Transition Town Greater Media’s practice and philosophy of self-sufficiency, we are learning to make the best decisions possible in crisis when too little or too much information is coming at us.  To do so, we make use of many different paths,

The Community Resilience Group focuses on learning about resilience issues in food systems, water systems, energy systems and more. We are reviewing ways in which we could survey our community and create a resilience baseline to gain some indication of where we can improve. Our group initially focused our meetings on discussing the book The Community Resilience Reader (available for free at: resilience.org). We will be shifting to exploring The Community Resilience Toolkit in order to do a community resilience assessment of the Greater Media area. You can learn more about that here.
