  • Rework the Runway

    Rework the Runway is a sustainable fashion show and design competition happening on Earth Day 2024 at North Bowl in Philadelphia. 10-15 hand-selected Philly-based designers will use secondhand clothing and recycled materials to create one-of-a-kind reworked looks to be featured in a fashion show. The winner of the competition will win a full 4-way rack inside Urban Exchange Project to sell their items at full profit for 2 months as well as a First Friday event highlighting their residency. Urban Exchange Project will also be releasing its line of recycled and reworked pieces in the 2nd portion of the show.

Fabscrap is a nonprofit organization based in Brooklyn, New York City that has pioneered a system to recycle and reuse fabric waste, creating an accessible materials resource for creative communities, while reducing the fashion industry’s impact on the planet.     This fall, Awbury’s AdventureWoods is the place to be for hands-on outdoor fun! Children ages 8–11 can join Intro to Archery & Wilderness Survival on Thursdays, Sept 25–Oct 30, 2025, from 4–6 PM, where they’ll learn the basics of archery, try their hand at carving, cook over a campfire, and practice core survival skills like foraging, knot-tying, shelter-building, and first aid.
