Insect Night

Who hangs out in Bartram’s Garden after the sun goes down? We’ll be checking out nighttime insects and animals in the Garden with Naturalist Ken Frank (author of Ecology of Center City Philadelphia, Garden Horticulturalist Mandy Katz, and young Entomologist Adam Knap in the wooded Lower Garden nearby the Schuylkill River, luring an incredible array of nocturnal insects with black lights, overripe bananas, and molasses. Cool off and celebrate summer with outdoor water games and crafts.   ABOUT LITTLE EXPLORERS: Join us for exploration, a garden walk, and stories! Please feel free to bring a snack. Designed for toddlers and preschoolers, ages 2-4. One adult chaperone is required for every two children.
