    Philadelphia Sculptors, in partnership with Women for Greater Philadelphia, announces the outdoor sculpture exhibition TIMELINE at historic Laurel Hill Mansion in East Fairmount Park. The show opens with a free public reception on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6-8 pm. TIMELINE is a dynamic group exhibit that offers a wide-ranging look at the Laurel Hill site and its layered history along the Schuylkill River. Artists, selected by jurors Nancy Agati and Rachel Zimmerman, proposed works that respond to the complex timeline of the property, the mansion itself, and the many individuals who have lived on, cared for, and shaped the

    Join Scribe Video Center and Big Picture Alliance for a screening of "Searching for the Songs of Wanaragua" at Scribe on December 12, 7PM. This short documentary follows Cesar Vargas, a Garifuna language teacher and researcher from Honduras, and Eli LaBan, a documentary filmmaker from Philadelphia, as they record and translate traditional songs to use as teaching tools to support the revitalization of the endangered afro-indigenous Garifuna language in Honduras. Eli LaBan is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker who has worked on projects pertaining to social development, cultural preservation, and education across the world.
