Walking The Edge Exhibit

Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education 8480 Hagy's Mill Rd., Philadelphia

Walking the Edge is a communal display on the experience of walking in nature. We are inviting the public to share their creative impressions, reflections and encounters on walking borders, limits and perimeters in nature as they are expressed through art. Curated by Jacques-Jean Tiziou of “Walk Around Philadelphia”, our fourth bi-annual community exhibition embraces walking as an artistic practice that reflects on our interconnectedness with nature.

Herbs and Nutrition for Seasonal Allergies

A class with Stefanie Haris, Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, Sage Integrative Health Center, presented by Morris Arboretum & Gardens of the University of Philadelphia. Have you or a family member been affected by allergies? You're not alone. Billions of dollars are spent each year on allergy shots, antihistamines and over-the-counter medicines to offer relief from symptoms. Dietary choices can have a tremendous impact on allergies by either reducing or exacerbating the body's allergic responses. This class will teach you how to tamp down your body's inflammatory response using food and herbal medicine. Dr. Stefanie Haris uses a holistic, whole-person approach
