Need graduation portraits? An updated family photo? How about a photo with your pup? Professional photography should be accessible for everyone. ‘ Join us at the free community photo day for a mini photo shoot of your choice. You will receive a couple of prints of your photos and have the option of digital files emailed to you upon request. Dress in your Sunday best, bring your cap and gown, or come as you are, and we will capture your special moment. Pets are welcome! Did you know that FDR is the only park with publicly accessible lakes and an active boating program? Come see for yourself by joining our guided kayak tour of the three connected bodies of water: Pattison Lagoon, Edgewood Lake, and Hollander Creek. Kayaking on the flat waters of “The Lakes” is a serene, yet exciting experience. Moving calmly through the water lets you closely observe an array of wildlife, especially the variety of bird species. An always great sight is the great blue heron who has made the rowboats in the middle of the lake its preferred park perch! Tour
