The Bicycle Coalition and Families for Safe Streets will work in collaboration with Barbara's friends and family to host a silent, slow roll bike ride from Civic Center Blvd and Spruce St. to the site of Barbara Friedes crash, 18th and Spruce. We will place an Angel bike at the crash site and hold a memorial for her. Please join to honor Barbara's memory.

Celebrate Easter like a Swede at the American Swedish Historical Museum’s Easter Family Day! Join us on Sunday, April 6th, from 2-4 pm to experience Swedish Easter traditions. In Sweden, Easter kicks off with a trick-or-treat-like candy hunt on Maundy Thursday. Children dress up as Easter witches with long skirts, headscarves, painted red cheeks, and freckles and go from house to house, wishing people Happy Easter. At our celebration, children can make Swedish Easter crafts, dress up as Easter witches, enjoy face-painting, and take part in a traditional egg hunt. We will have two egg hunts, one for kids ages

About Philly's Holiday Lights Ride Our annual critical mass bike ride and celebration in partnership with Wednesday Night Rides is returning December 10th to tour the sights and lights of South Philly’s decked out streets! About the Event On June 17, 2026, more than 75 advocates, committee members, and allies gathered with the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (BCGP) policy team, Transit Forward Philadelphia, Families for Safe Streets Greater Philadelphia (FSSGP), and Circuit Trails to talk about one shared goal: Safer streets for everyone who walks, bikes, or rides transit in Philadelphia. The conversation continues on July 15th at 6:00PM, as BCGP's Legislative Committee made up of Board, Staff, and community advocates will meet to further refine 2027 priorities and continue working through the Policy Social breakout session topics together.
