Art Gathering: Botanical Illustration

Coach House, 5400 Lindbergh Blvd, Philadelphia, PA, 19143

Practice the time-honored tradition of botanical illustration within the historically significant setting of Bartram’s Garden. Working from live specimens, participants will have a chance to closely observe and recreate the structures that make each plant unique. This historical process is like watching magic; leaving you with a tangible, beautiful photographic heirloom printed on tin. Mosaic Workshop

Learn the ins and outs of creating mosaic art as a healing practice. Inspiration is sure to be easily found as you create a mosaic tile of your own. You may keep your tile or have it considered for inclusion in a larger installation that lives at Bartram’s Garden as a symbol of hope, renewal, and the dreams we have for our community. Ursula Sternberg: Daydream is a celebration of the career of Philadelphia area artist, the late Ursula Sternberg. Sternberg’s life and career spanned many mediums and multiple continents taking her from Nazi occupied Germany to Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. From the 1970s to her death in 2000, Sternberg was actively involved in the Philadelphia art scene, fostering maker spaces that brought together the local community of artists for an opportunity to socialize, inspire, and be inspired. Herbs & Crafts: Sow your Winter Garden with a DIY Mini Greenhouse

Show the pollinators some love this February during the first ever Herbs & Crafts workshop at The Random Tea Room. Our resident artist Anastasia Alexandrin will be demonstrating how she sows her winter garden using up-cycled materials.
