WURD Radio Founder’s Day Gala

Get ready! WURD’s annual Founder’s Day Gala is back and you don’t want to miss the celebration of our founder, Walter P. Lomax, Jr., M.D. It’s all happening Friday, October 11 at the beautiful Mann Center. In recognition of Dr. Lomax’s powerful career as a physician, this year we will have a special focus on health and healing as we unveil our Philadelphia Black Doctors Directory. We will feature an intimate conversation with WURD President and CEO, Sara Lomax and Ala Stanford, M.D., founder of the Black Doctors Consortium and author of Take Care of Them Like My Own. We will also honor our Community Impact Award winners – individuals who are dedicated to healing our communities.
This celebration will feature special guests, food, live music and we’ll move and groove with a dance party under the stars!
