Wissahickon Women’s History Hike with Kris Soffa and Margaret Kinnevy

Meeting at the Philadelphia Canoe Club
Hike participants will be able to use the restrooms at Philadelphia Canoe Club.
Join FOW Trail Ambassadors Kris Soffa, a 2020 Philadelphia Women’s History Month honoree, and Margaret Kinnevy for a guided hike celebrating legendary women connected to the park. You’ll hear stories of the Wild Woman of the Wilderness, Hanna Penn, a Revolutionary War spy, and environmental advocates whose work helped protect this wild space as part of Philadelphia’s park system.
No dogs please other than service animals. This hike is appropriate for ages 18+.
Distance: 2.5 miles
Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. 
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
