Wissahickon Valley Park Rim to Rim, Part One with Lisa Kleiman, Debra Brackett, and Sheryl Neckritz

Hiking Rim to Rim in Wissahickon Valley Park may not offer the same ‘bragging rights’ as a rim to rim hike of the Grand Canyon, but it will surely provide you with beautiful scenery, a rewarding hike on both sides of Wissahickon Creek, wonderful views, and friendly folks to enjoy it with!
Come join us as we hike along the Yellow Trail from Wigard Avenue on the west side of the Valley, across Wissahickon Creek and up Cresheim Valley on the east side. Sights along the way include a hidden cave, a frog pond, historic structures, movie filming locations, and a beautiful pine grove. We may even get lucky and see some spring ephemerals!
Please note that the terrain is hilly with rocks and roots, and in the event of steady rain, snow, or hazardous driving conditions, we’ll reschedule.
Distance: 5.5-6.5 miles
Level: Difficult (many inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. 
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
