Wednesday Volunteer Service Day with David Bower

Meeting at the Jannette Street Trailhead
There is plenty of free street parking nearby our meeting location.
Please note that there will not be bathroom access during this service day.
Would you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join longtime Wissahickon steward David Bower and his dedicated team of Crew Leaders and Trail Ambassadors for a variety of stewardship projects!
All are welcome to attend, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities:
• Trail work: using long-handled tools, moving heavy objects
• Plantings: bending over, crouching/squatting, carrying up to 20 lbs
• Invasive plant removal: bending over, using long handled tools
• Litter clean-up
• Repetitive motions
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and remember to bring water with you.
