Wandering in the Watershed: Where the Forest Meets the Meadow

Distance: 2 miles

Why is the Andorra section of the park such a beloved area? Because it has it all! Trail Ambassadors Margaret Kinnevy and Trish Fries have planned a mini-adventure that explores a little bit of everything.
As we saunter up to where the forest meets the meadow, we will pause to notice features of the trees, plants, and waterways that are hidden in plain sight. We will pass by much that is not hidden, such as an environmental center, a food forest, a pollinator garden, historic ruins, and more. There will be time to have your questions answered about the built and natural environment, and the people who have lived, worked, and played in this area.
Registration is required for all events so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain or icy conditions. Service animals are always welcome. For more information contact Marisa Miller at miller@fow.org.
