Volunteer for Growing Greener Together | A Community Gardening Event
July 20, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join PHILADELPHIA250 and Greener Partners for a day of volunteerism, community and fun.
PHILADELPHIA250 is joining forces with Greener Partners on July 20th from 1 – 4 p.m. to work in two community gardens in West Philadelphia. We have a limited number of volunteer opportunities, and we are reaching out first to you, our supporters, to join us.
At PHILADELPHIA250, plans are underway to deliver a community-centric, neighborhood-based commemoration for the nation’s 250th anniversary. Volunteering together to make our neighborhoods beautiful, safe, and useful spaces is one of the most important ways you can support our work.
You can help us repair and rebuild garden beds at Walnut Hill Community Farm, 4610 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19139, or help to create a teacher’s garden at Belmont Charter Elementary School at 4030 Brown St, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
Both sites are within walking distance of one another. There will be two 1.5 hour shifts at both sites: 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. Volunteers must be 18 or older.
Please go to the link that says get tickets to register up to 8 guests from your organization before July 10th. We will offer any remaining spots publicly after the 10th.
This event is a part of America250-PA’s Pennsylvania Day, a statewide day of community service. Keep PA Beautiful is providing project support.
