A veteran tree can be defined as a tree that is of interest biologically, culturally or aesthetically because of its age, size or condition. Some trees are instantly recognizable as veterans, but many are less obvious. This class will include a walking tour of the heritage and veteran trees on the Awbury Arboretum grounds, and an overview of their care and management. We will discuss current research and preservation practices for the care and preservation of older trees. This class is lead by Awbury Arborist, Steve Pascavitch
This class has been approved to carry 2.5 CEUs for ISA Certified Arborists and municipal specialists (s=1, p=0.5, m=1), and 2.5 LTE/LTCO CEUs from the NJ Board of Tree Experts.
