After its debut in 2025, VARIETY PACK is back and leveling up. Philadelphia’s festival dedicated to the chaotic, theatrical, unclassifiable corners of alt-comedy returns January 22 – 31, 2026 with two weekends of shows, twenty acts, and even more gloriously unhinged performances.

12:00 PM, WORKSHOP: Acting in Stand-Up (Encore)
A repeat of the popular daytime workshop blending acting technique with comedic performance.
2:30 PM, Kidprov! The Musical!
An encore performance of the family-friendly improv show, but this time with MUSIC! Featuring cast members from Philly’s beloved musical improv show, Thank you, Places!
7:00 PM, The Kings That Are Really Truly True: The King, The Show
They say you can’t pick your family. Who ‘they’ are is up for debate. They also say you can’t pick your King. We say otherwise (who ‘we’ are is also unclear). Devised by an actual teenager, this show features kings – fictional and self-proclaimed – competing through feats of strength and stupidity so you, the people, can decide! Leave your peasantry at the door because it’s about to get royal around here. Featuring Charlotte Northeast & friends.
8:30 PM, The Futuremores
Fake awards for real shows that haven’t happened yet. Here in Philadelphia, we celebrate the hard work and artistic achievements of our theater scene with the annual Barrymore Awards. These awards recognize outstanding performances and contributions to the previous season’s plays. This is not that. The Futuremores is part award show, part Squid Games, part March Madness bracket. Don’t know what the rest of the 2025-26 Philadelphia theatrical season has in store? You don’t need to! The Futuremores is a way to get to know what your theater neighbors have coming down the pike and preemptively honor them with awards that mean less than nothing but sure are fun!
