Transformation Talk: Creating & Educating a More Sustainable Philadelphia
March 14, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us for the second installment of Friends Select’s new Transformation Talk speaker series.
The second installment of Friends Select’s new Transformation Talk speaker series is “Creating and Educating a More Sustainable Philadelphia.” As a Philadelphia institution that is “in the city and of the city,” Friends Select is deeply invested in the sustainability of our natural and built environment, particularly our educational environment. How can educational institutions both teach and embody sustainable design? What does a sustainable Philadelphia look like, what role should our city’s leaders play in getting us there, and what is the role of individual Philadelphians?
Our panelists are:
Rich Freeh, Green Building United
Caroline Goodbody, Comcast Smart Solutions
Nidhi Krishen, Philadelphia Office of Sustainability
Micah Gold-Markel ’95, Solar States
All are invited to join us in person in our Blauvelt Theatre, or virtually, for this great educational event. Light refreshments will be served at 5 p.m.
With its Advance Friends Select: Transformation Campaign, Friends Select is lifting up the Ben Franklin Parkway, along with the community of educators, scholars, and leaders who call it home, to reflect an accessible educational space located in the heart of the city. The Transformation Talk series is an opportunity to engage our community in a dialogue about what’s next for Philadelphia.
